The port has a 60 m long stone and concrete landing wharf with breakwater, which is used to accommodate smaller passenger boats, as well as freight boats that are loading and unloading construction material. Adjoining this wharf is 240 m of concrete quayside with berths for smaller boats. It will be necessary to dredge certain parts of the port in order to improve the functionality of the quayside. The local authorities have started an initiative to build a 30 m concrete landing wharf opposite to the landing wharf with breakwater, for the purpose of protecting the port from southern winds.
