Port of Tisno

It is located on the southeastern part of the island of Murter. The port has a 100 m long stone and concrete landing quay on the west side.
On the east side, there is a 65 m long stone and concrete landing wharf with breakwater. A solar-powered beacon (Red flash, 5s, 7m, 4M, red) is located at the head of the wharf.
A 695 m long concrete quay with berths for boats was built on both sides of the landing wharf, adjoining it.

Landing wharf with breakwater (60 m in length altogether) – has berths for fishing boats as well as powerboats, yachts and excursion boats and small crafts.
Landing quay (140 m) – has berths for powerboats, yachts and excursion boats and small crafts.

LANDMARKS: belfry in the village; light on the breakwater head - ret tower with column and gallery.

WEATHER: Exposed to the Bora and Scirocco which do not raise a considerable sea.

CURRENTS: tidal currents are predominant, at rates of up to 0.8 kn. Gale Scirocco can increase can increase the current rate to 2.0 kn.

CABLES AND PIPELINES: Submarine cables are laid between the mainland coast and the islandon both sides of the bridge. Submarine pipeline is laid about 150 m NW of the bridge.

REGULATIONS: between 15 May and I September the bridge is open daily from 0900 to 0930 and from 1700 to 1730. During the remaining months the bridge opens on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 0900 and 0930.

APPROACH: In fine weather, in SE part of the strait, the track leads on the alignment of the mid-bridge with the belfry at Murter (elevation 77).
The bridge ends are marked by red lights on metal posts. When the bridge is open, the light on its S end changes to green.

ANCHORAGE: SE of the harbour, NW of Ljutac islet, in depths of 14-25 m; sand, good holiding.

BERTH: to the inner side of breakwater and to the quay.

SUPPLIES AND FACILITIES: water supply system; post office, surgery, pharmacy, hotel, restaurants, cafés, and shops.
