The port is located on a small island in the middle of the Rogoznica bay.
The port has a 100 m long stone and concrete landing quay. A solar-powered beacon is located on the south end of the quay. (Green flash 3s 7m 3M, green). A 320 m long concrete quay with berths for smaller boats was built adjoining the quay.
The port and the entire bay are protected from all winds; and the bay is sufficiently deep to provide anchorage for larger vessels. There are also several natural coves in this bay where it is possible to berth a smaller boat. The port and the entire bay provide a safe harbour for ships during storms.
The bay provides an ideal berthing place for foreign and domestic vessels during winter, with little investment as far as anchorage is concerned.
New waterfront – part of the quay extending 60 m to the north from the beacon – has berths for tourist boats, yachts, powerboats and other excursion vessels;
New waterfront – north part of the quay, from the 60th meter to the 100th meter – has berths for fishing boats.
In the period from June 15th to September 15th the fishing boats may use the said part of the quay only for the purposes of loading/unloading or transhipment of fish.
The part of the waterfront extending from the beacon 157 m to the south has berths for smaller vessels.
