The port is located on the north-eastern side of the island of Murter. A 75 m long concrete and stone wharf with breakwater was built in the old harbour.
A solar-powered beacon (Green flash 3 s 6 m 4M, green) is located at the head of the wharf. An adjoining 250 m concrete quay with berths for boats was built.
According to Betina’s Implementation plan, new quays with berths for boats, as well as a breakwater, are planned for construction.
LANDMARKS: belfry in the village; light on Rt Rat - white tower, and light on th breakwater head - green tower with column and gallery.
WEATHER: exposed to the Bora and Scirocco. In a strong Scirocco the sea reaches over the breakwater.
CURRENTS: ingoing/outgoing tidal currents are predominant, attaining rates of up to 0.4 kn.
BERTH: To the inner side of breakwater.
SUPPLIES AND FACILITIES: Water supply system; fuel station in the harbour Hramina; post office, restaurants, caffés, and shops.
COMMUNICATIONS: road connections.
CAUTION: Care is necessary to avoid a shallow area around the breakwater head. Anchoring in front of the harbour is not recommended as the bottom is rock.
